I’ve come to the conclusion that Eric is powered by miniature nuclear reactors located in the soles of his feet. There’s no rational explanation I can currently muster for the degree of energy he’s always displayed in my encounters with him so I’ve settled for that one. Christiane complements him perfectly, based on the principles of duality; a persona imbued with grace and a temperament underscored by thoughtfulness. Not that Eric isn’t thoughtful, he is so in abundance and he displays grace too. It’s just nuclear powered. With families descending upon London from Malaysia and Germany and friends arriving from all over the world there was that extra impetus again to make this a highly memorable day and Christiane & Eric had quite clearly put an enormous amount of effort into researching, planning and bringing to fruition their wedding celebrations. They selected the Old Marylebone Town Hall for their ceremony (having worked there twice before, I can’t say I’ve come across more friendly registrars) and the Andaz Hotel for their celebrations (I could wax lyrical about the quality of service and might indeed do so at the appropriate juncture in this story).
I’m still trying to digest the richness and variety of their wedding day so I’m glad I took a lot of photographs to aid in the process. I dare say they’ll be glad too considering that is what they commissioned me for. I started the day exploring Christiane’s walk-in wardrobe at the Andaz…

Men can multitask too. Well, the nuclear powered ones at least…

A German wedding tradition…

Christiane & Eric had arranged a London tour for their guests, complete with lunch boxes bearing particularly delicious traditional English fare…

While the guests continued on their tour, Christiane & Eric alighted for a walk around The Mall and St. James’s Park…

Always good to have a back up team…

Then back to the Andaz in a vintage Jaguar…

Celebrations continue in Part Two >>>
