Dare to be different? Dare to be you! Rock ‘n Roll Bride.

It came as quite a thrill to have some of my recent wedding photography work featured on Rock ‘n Roll Bride today! The beach landing from Petia & Chris’s wedding in March certainly fits the broader ethos of the site.

Bournemouth wedding photographer Phillip Allen shoots Petia & Chris conducting a wedding day beach landing

I recommend anyone planning to tie the knot takes a good, long, in-depth look at Rock ‘n Roll Bride; it provides a real antidote to the fear of losing one’s individuality on what can be a somewhat overwhelming day!

The site operates out of the US and is run by expatriate Londoner Kat whom describes the ethos behind her venture thus:

Rock ‘n Roll Bride (Noun) A rock ‘n roll wedding is a wedding where the couple actually acknowledge that to plan a good wedding, they have to incorporate themselves and plan what they love for their day. They laugh in the face of the wedding industry and the wedding magazines that tell them what they need to do to make a ‘good wedding’.

A fantastic Web site I’ll be checking up on frequently!

Laura Burlton - This is just one of those iconic photos I will pretty much always remember. The boat, the wellies, their expression, etc. It really is a most awesome and powerful image and if this image alone defines their whole marriage, I think they will have a smashing good time :)

Phillip Allen - Thanks Laura. It’s especially gratifying to receive such favourable comment from a photographer whose work I admire and respect. This has become something of a signature image for my enterprise at present and it certainly does encapsulate the spirit of this couple as I came to know them through an enjoyably long and rather exciting day.

Emma - This is such a great image! My friend passed the link over to this shot when it first appeared on Rock ‘n Roll Bride and we spent a good while talking about it. You’ve caught a very special and fun moment here. Excellent work!

Phillip Allen - Thanks Emma! :~) It’s very pleasant indeed to hear that my work has done the rounds, so to speak, and once again especially gratifying to receive favourable comment from another photographer whose work I hold in very high regard.
