Lovely pictures. My brother looks totally comfortable in doing those poses!
Ditto to your comment Nicky, nice pictures though xx.
Great photographer – you always look amazing Zoe but isn’t it incredible what he can do with you Mr Raynsford?

“We should even be able to find you a red telephone box,” Jon informed me enthusiastically as we walked through the streets of St. Albans (which is indeed in Hertfordshire, not Sussex as the title of this post might suggest I thought to be the case; he and Nicola will marry in the latter county in six weeks, one day and counting).
I was mightily impressed by just how deeply the two must have delved into the archives of my blog.
“Yes,” I smiled, “2010 was a big year for telephone boxes for me. 2011 was the year of concrete.” Whilst we now found ourselves in the opening passage of 2012, this thing for concrete is lingering, perhaps. A little earlier as we’d headed out from their home I had to drop off some documents in my car, parked in an underground bay nearby. I couldn’t help but notice… concrete, contrast, apertures; I had to invite them to join me down below. View full post »

Cute geese! Nice engagement pictures :)
Thanks Anna :~)
Awesome light and creativity Phil…

7.00am – Wake up.
Katie & Tom’s wedding day was somewhat akin to 24. Except without the guns, rogue devices and underscoring elements of the not so gentle. And the gaping logical plot flaws. There was none of that on Katie & Tom’s wedding day. It all made perfect sense really, especially when it came to the speeches later in the day and that honest, heart-felt, loving delivery of biography and appraisal that allows you to join all the dots and realise that what you sensed about the people at the heart of it all very much fitted an ongoing lifelong pattern. People that I thoroughly enjoyed working for. I’d received a boxed set of all of the seasons of 24 for Christmas; that’s where that came from. The first two seasons I found rather gripping, despite the plot flaws. My interest waned rapidly as season three descended into pantomime. None of that though for Katie & Tom’s wedding day. There was some fantastic dancing though. Where was I?
7.00am – Wake up.
That wasn’t for me, thankfully. Not that I’d not have embraced the need, had needs be, but you know. Catch me fresh and all that. Katie & Tom experienced quite a journey in the bringing together of this wedding, from Antipodean regions all the way to Dorset with unexpected changes in time and space (or rather, place) along the way and it was fantastically well planned, inch perfect and down to the minute whilst remaining utterly relaxed throughout. My journey brought me from a mile down the road to Katie’s family home, well slept and utterly relaxed myself. View full post »

You did such a beautiful job capturing every moment of Katie & Tom’s day!
Such a gorgeous couple & adorable wedding!
Love that photo of the bride peeking from the door up in the stairs! Great eye!
That stairs shot is a real winner!
Such a great coverage – love the expressions you’ve captured along with the elegant storytelling moments. SO refreshing to see a First Look – and great call by Katie on that front, a girl who knows her lighting, and found the perfect photographer to capture it!
Love the details!
Thanks all :~)
Gorgeous wedding! Love your eye for detail and all the emotions you captured!

Katie first came across me during the summer of 2010 on Twitter, where by definition I’m a wittier soul than on my blog, what with the brevity of a 140 character restriction to messages. She and Tom had met in London and had moved together to Melbourne – I’m sure not as instantaneously as the brevity of that description of events might infer – and they would return to her native Dorset to marry in August of 2012. It would prove to be something of a journey for them not just geographically but also logistically, as all wedding planning indeed is but in this case a change of job down under necessitated a change of date up over and a few such potential changes later, both in time and specific location, led them to the eve of New Year’s Eve, December 2011 and a wedding day fixed to take place in the Italian Villa at Compton Acres, Poole.
If amidst that prolonged journey you happened to miss the ceremony and all that preceded it, it’s all still there to witness in Part One.
Amongst many things, not least that it was emotionally enriching, fun, relaxed and exciting in equal measure, Katie & Tom’s wedding day was quite a delight visually. A fully branded wedding one might say. View full post »
