Nicola & Rob are my second Twitter clients, so to speak; a place where I hang out and don’t talk about what I’ve just had for lunch*. Rob stumbled across me (as opposed to stumbled upon, which would suggest another social networking system of sorts altogether) via Sam’s Twitter feed when I photographed her wedding last year (and next year will see a third Twitter client in Katie, but that’s a story for 2012). They’ll marry in Wiltshire this coming Summer, Nicola & Rob that is, though Summer seems to have come early this year so hopefully I can say further in to this Summer. This weekend we met up on the South Bank in London for a chat about wedding day plans and a pre-wedding test shoot.
*Now that I mention it though I did tweet Rob to let him know where I was and what I was having for breakfast before we met up on the weekend. Pleased to say I didn’t follow up with a lunch report subsequently though.
Rob described to me a technique for being photographed that he’d picked up, if memory serves me correct (which it sometimes doesn’t thus when convenient I take written notes), from Joey Tribbiani in Friends. If you’re uncertain where to look when being photographed, stare off into the distance and work on a difficult sum in your head. It all adds up in practice…
Nicola & Rob haven’t decided what to do for their first dance yet but I suspect it may involve rollerskates, a skateboard and a BMX…
And as if by magic…
Nicola & Rob’s little ‘un couldn’t be dealing with all that smooching around so had gone off with his aunty for a spot of South Bank sightseeing. He was ready for action now though…
He’s dealing with complex quadratic equations already…
