Surrey Wedding Planning : Farah & Ivor

Farah & Ivor will marry really quite soon now, just a matter of two weeks to go! An opportunity for me to revisit the splendid Hampton Court House in Surrey. An opportunity once again to enjoy the fantastic hospitality of Houseboat Riverine, one my favourite B&Bs out of all the ones I’ve stayed at whilst photographing weddings up and down the country (it floats on the River Thames; thankfully it’s firmly tethered to the bank). Above all of that, an opportunity to witness what promises to be an enriching wedding day.

Farah & Ivor popped down from London to Dorset this weekend to discuss their plans for the big day (as ever with much of said discussions taking place at Boscanova; this week I had the porridge, it was spot on and then some and I didn’t feel hungry again for at least seven hours) and we went for a walk. A long walk. A very long walk with lots of ups and downs. That’s speaking in purely topographic terms by the way. Spirits were invariably buoyant throughout. The porridge was a good call.

Farah & Ivor brought good weather with them, or maybe they picked it up en route but regardless of whence it came from it afforded us plenty of opportunity to enjoy the great Bournemouth outdoors. Then I found concrete. I can’t walk past the stuff. I think it’s this year’s red telephone box…

Rehearsal…

C ‘est comme un rêve (a dream of more concrete)…

We weren’t expecting this

Thanks Farah & Ivor for making it down and for your unflinching and intrepid spirit. See you both in two weeks. I’ll not make you walk quite so far on your wedding day though!

Mark Osborne - Great work as ever Phill. The sunset shots in particular are stunning! There’s nothing like a good sunset :)

Mary Sylvia - Sophistication station! I love these shots, but your out of focus one with the delectable bokeh – so good.

Narrelle - I really enjoyed looking through these. Apart from the beautiful images (love the ones of them ‘rehearsing’) it bought back lots of good memories of our time (6 years) in Bournemouth.
Sounds, and looks, like it will be a beautiful wedding.

Lyn Ismael-Bennett - Gorgeous couple! Love the black and whites…and the set under the bridge. Great set!

Eliza - OK so I was going through the post thinking “wow the silhouettes in the woods are fantastic, must comment on those, and also the light in the woods, so beautiful” and then got to the end of the post. Talk about save the best for last! Sunset shots – wow!

kit - Just gorgeous. These images are beautiful and timeless- I absolutely love the black and white images! They have an amazing tone and texture! (Beautiful couple too!)
