Caroline commissions pictures for a living, though there’s more to it again than that. Tom makes pictures for a living, ones that move; again there’s a great deal more might be said. Tom proposed to Caroline with a picture; a great big framed one made with his own hands, directed by his own mind. I’m compelled by pictorial story-telling; perhaps that’s all needs saying. It’s no great coincidence maybe that I’ll be relating the story of their Christmas-time wedding at Hampton Court House, though Caroline certainly had a good selection of photographers at her disposal and for her and Tom’s ultimate choice, I’m grateful, somewhat flattered really. Hampton Court House itself is highly picturesque, as are Caroline & Tom. Picturesque isn’t a word one uses in relation to people is it? It’s the landscape of their nature I seek to illustrate. It’s a warm and welcoming land, fertile with imagination. We made some photographs. I look forward to coming back and making a great many more.
